Displaced through war and separated from their parents, Clare and Gerald aged four and two arrive at the tiny fishing village of St Abbs to live with their formidable widowed grandmother. A lively story of love, belonging and village life during WW2.

Angie and Jackie Final Cut

How hard can it be to make a short film? This light-hearted documentary follows Angie and Jackie, a lesbian couple in their 50s who try their hand at making a film for the first time. With only their film-watching experience, the book Short Films by Nathan Parker and the British Film Institute’s one-day workshop Absolute Beginners to guide them, they throw themselves into the adventure and when things go wrong, events lead them to a most unexpected outcome.

Features the 3 minute short Childs Play, the product of the process captured by this documentary.

Mark Bunyan: Very Nearly Almost Famous

Co-founder of the Pink Singers and part of the driving force behind Gay’s The Word bookshop, Mark Bunyan spent the 70s and 80s performing his original songs alongside the likes of Sandie Shaw, Billy Connolly and Tom Robinson, and was present at almost every pivotal event in UK gay history.  In the words of a fan, he was “The First Gay Superstar”. But was he too gay for his own good?
